a productive day...

have been a wee bit busy today finishing off this dress sample above that has been in the works for a number of months! waiting ever so patiently for the fabric to be released, then pouncing on the first shipment!

It seems to be the fabric of the moment, I have seen about 3 other labels using the same fabric range in very similar ways.

oh well, never mine, here is my version!

both dresses are great for all weather

layering is such a great way to get more wear out of those favourite wardrobe pieces.

My Creative Space...

my creative space this week has moved in next to the heater!!

spending my time cutting out lot's of gorgeous hats for my summer range

so many colours they make me think of beautiful fruity sorbet

this one has to be my favourite! can't go past the lotus print from Amy Butler!


and all the while staring at this amazing slither of MARIMEKKO fabric

that my gorgeous sister brought me back from Denmark

along with some handcarved wooden buttons from Norway.

I must look at them until it hits me what I am to make from them.

At My House....

It's been a big week at my house this week

everything seemed to focus around teeth!!

Tuesday I had my wisdom teeth out. yep, all 4 heavily impacted!

plus another broken tooth, long story, began some 25 odd years ago when the tooth first came through!

had a nice metal post put into my bone for a newy tooth to be attatched to.

quite devastating really. but my glass is half full, and I have lot's of eating left in my life to do.

so on with the show.

much healing to be done!

the same day my surgery occured, my middle 5 star, lost her top tooth.

3 days later, lost the other top tooth.

I LOVE this gapped look on the kids.

Everytime she walks past me, she gives me the most massive smile.

makes me giggle. (which hurts my cheeks)

a little time to think...

as I have been curled up in my bed just about all week

puffy and sore from having my wisdom teeth taken out and some other messy work done, we'd really all rather not hear or think about!!

I have had lot's of time to think...

lot's of questions in my head to answer...

so after endless hours working on these, I have got a plan.

finally, I know where I am headed.

It is really time to move ahead, and ahead we shall go!

so many ideas and creations to come to light

It has already begun and the excitment is building.

so watch this space, as it may be changing a little here and there!!

handmade Christmas challenge...

this is the preparation for my mum's christmas present.

my mum has classic beautiful style

so decided I am going to print onto some linen with my favourite screen print design

and make her a new scarf or two

so just bought some natural coloured and baby pink linen today.
