handmade christmas challenge.

I know, I've been very absent from the Handmade Christmas Challenge, I was still thinking of you all, and making and buying handmade, but I've been so busy, I had hardly a moment to join the blogging fun. so here is my last entry!

so, I've had a year to prepare a santa sack for my niece.

in that year, another niece and nephew were added to the collection, making it 3 santa sacks to be done.

of course, me being the type that I am, I started them on wednesday.

anywho, here they are in all their finished glory, handmade santa sacks for 3 precious babies.

what to make for someone who has everthing?? I made this scarf for my Nan. she is away this christmas, so it had to be small to fit in her luggage.

I also made one for my mum aswell as a new handbag, which I will show you soon.

I also am a bit of an auction addict.

these frames are huge, the biggest one measures 127x216cm!!

and I even fitted it in my car to bring home.

bargains of the century, couldnt go past them.

now I just need space in my tiny house to hang them.

hmmmmm......

My Creative Space...

I know, absent again. best put me in the naughty corner.

at least make sure that corner is in my sewing room please!!!

so so busy with so many markets coming up.

so many orders.

I just love it.

I have made these new hats after a few trials and not being happy with the visor shape, I have finally come up with a peak that doesnt stand out like a ducks bill!!

so lucky I was 'allowed' to use my sisters set of hat blocks for the photography.

she was given them by our grandma who was a milliner.

an amazing lady who inspires me in every way imaginable.

this design was supposed to be for me!
as a licensed fabric, it is not available for sale
but my son got his hands on this one.
I guess it is appropriate really.

my brothers wedding this weekend, of course I left my dress til yesterday to make.

heaps of time, incase it didnt work out, to make something else!!

I made up the pattern, which I have to say is my fav. for summer.

I also make this in a cotton floral to wear to the markets last weekend.

so comfortable and stylish if I do say so myself!!

oh and another thing, I bought the shoes, then made the necklace thingy to match the shoes, then had to find or make a dress to match those!

nothing like doing things all jumbled!!

next, if I get time, I will make a purse to go with it!

My Creative Space...

hello there, from the depths of my piles of sewing, cleaning and general life mess!!I have been absent from my blogging world for a while,

so thought it time to grab a coffee and drop on in to say HI.

so much going on in preparation for the very first

FAIRY FLOSS MARKETS in Doncaster on October 3rd

aswell as the custom orders, I've been flat chat amongst my piles of half finished treasures!

I managed this week to make my very first bias binding ever!

in my head it seemed so much harder than it turned out to be, I needed a special piece for a custom order top, that no plain colour would quite do!

must say, I am very pleased and ended up with an extra 6 meters of it.

and here some one off tunic dresses for the markets using up some leftover pieces of fabric, trying ever so desperately to clear some shelves in my sewing room.

I have banned myself from anymore fabric purchases until at least one shelf is empty.

really, one does not need to stockpile as I have been doing.
